SEND & Learning Support

At Marlwood school, we value every child as an individual and recognise that all students have diverse strengths, challenges and learning needs.

The ethos of the school is that every teacher is a teacher of special educational needs and that all students have the right to an effective and inspiring curriculum that prepares them for independent adult life. We believe that all young people are entitled to an education that enables them to make progress, grow in confidence, achieve their best possible outcomes and make a successful transition into adulthood; whether into employment, further or higher education or training.

We have a team of Learning Support Assistants who work alongside the SENDCo. If your child is on the SEND register they will be allocated a key worker who will provide the first point of contact for any concerns you may have as well as facilitating the assess, plan, do review process.  Our SENDCo is Tonya Russell who can be contacted on the following email mar-sendco@cset.co.uk

Tonya Russell, SENDCo.

If you have concerns about your child but they are not on the SEND Register, please contact their tutor in the first instance and they will  refer them through our internal system.
